David
Armitage
Founder
and Chief Executive Officer |
Thirty years
ago, David was an exploration geoscientist. His experience
in the field led him to start his own firm, GeoGraphix, which
became the world’s
leading provider of desktop mapping and enterprise data interpretation
systems to the upstream oil and gas industry. He directed
the firm for twelve years, helping to create a global operation
with installations in 44 countries. Landmark Graphics Inc.,
now a subsidiary of Halliburton Corporation, bought the firm
in 1995.
Mr. Armitage has founded and led other high-tech ventures
such as Qubit Technology, iPremise, OnSite Technology Partners
and A2D Technologies. His leadership roles have included responsibility
for managing engineering, manufacturing, software development
and marketing groups as well as corporate quality, reliability
and ethics.
In 2002, he founded CARTASITE to change the way industry manages
assets, risk, and security. In addition to his leadership and
vision, Mr. Armitage brings a wealth of technology experience
to the company, including database skills, programming languages
and network and systems administration.
He graduated from St. Lawrence University
in 1978 with Bachelor of Sciences degrees in Geology and Economics
and performed Post Graduate work at the University of Oklahoma.

George Chedsey
SVP Sales and Marketing |
George is a 25 year veteran of high tech and consulting firms working within the oil and gas and environmental industries. He has served as vice president of a transportation training firm for the energy industry; technology based training company as well as Fortune 500 environmental service and engineering firms. Mr. Chedsey’s experience has spanned technology start-ups to large multi-national organizations.
Mr. Chedsey brings Cartasite a pragmatic, solution-based sales approach to help our clients maximize Cartasite’s technology and strengths within their firm to deliver the best ROI. Over the last several years George has provided cost savings for most all major energy producers and oil service firms travelling the oil producing regions of the US and Canada.
George is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.

Gregory
Kushnir Ph.D.
Senior Vice President of Technology |
Dr. Kushnir is a resourceful and highly accomplished IT Executive
with over 30 years of diversified management, software product
development and R&D experience within corporate and start-up
technology-related environments. He is an innovator in both
geological interpretation systems and geo-business information
systems and has published multiple articles in his field. Prior
to joining CARTASITE, Gregory held Executive Team positions
with A2D Technologies and Tobin International, the leading
data, software and services providers for Exploration and Production
Sector of the Oil & Gas Industry. He served as President,
Director and Co-founder of Shared Earth Technologies Inc.,
a 3D mapping software solutions company. Dr. Kushnir was
Manager of Advanced Technology and Architecture Group at GeoGraphix
and pioneered the development of the sophisticated subsurface
modeling technologies.
Dr. Kushnir initiated his professional
career in 1976 as a geoscientist with All-Russia Scientific
Research Geological Oil Institute (VNIGNI) in Moscow, Russia – the
leading scientific research institute for the Ministry of
Natural Resources and Academy of Science of the Russian Federation.
He was Senior Research Associate when he left VNIGNI after
twelve years of service.
Dr. Kushnir graduated Moscow University
with a Masters of Science in Geophysics and attained his Ph.D.
from VNIGNI for his research in the computer-based geometrization
of the oil and gas fields.
